Hey guys! So today I have a personal post. On the 19th and 20th of October I went to HLC (Hmong Leadership Council) Retreat and I'll like to share it with you guys.
The retreat began at 4:30 PM and I arrived there around 4:00 when my sister and her boo thang dropped me off. Since I knew most of the people there it wasn't awkward for me and I greeted everyone.
The first thing we did was an introduction to the Retreat. They told us the agenda and the rules. After they were done with that, we got separated into four different groups (because there were four leaders) and played an introduction game.
Afterwards we played a game. The goal of the game was to trust your partner. There were four teams with six people. I was on team 4 with Mr. Miller(club adviser), Paris, U Yang, Mary and Mai Choua. There were three rounds and two different stations. Only two people in a team per round. Mary was my partner and we went second. At the first station, one partner has to be blind-folded and be holding a tennis ball (it was the baton) and the other partner has to spin around ten times and then guide them through a maze. Once you guide when through the maze you head to the second station. At the second station there's one big rubber band and a ball. You and your partner has to leader the ball across the rubber band while standing on a line. Once you're done with that you run around the building, inside the cabin and pass the ball to the other members in your team.

Unfortunately my team got last place. Mr. Miller and Mai Choua was unable to get the ball across. Sad life.
For the rest of the night we did leadership activities and had dinner. We then made some clay creations. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the clay creations. Sad life because everyone's creation was really cute. It was really late and we had a talent show. Many people sang, some danced, and some even acted. I was in the crowd being a little fangirl. Before we went to sleep Mr. Miller surprised us with a cake to celebrate HLC's 7th Anniversary. The cake was really sweet and delicious.

The next day we had breakfast and went on a walk. No one knew the trail so we just walked where ever it lead us to. When we were walking we came across some things. A trail with mushrooms, a playground that everyone wanted to play at because we're all a kid at heart, and a river/stream that all the guys wanted to fish at. Of course we took pictures.

Silly pictures with the ladies and the boys photo bombing.

This seemed like fun! I wish we had something like this for Laos people! ^^
